Which ventilation system to choose?
Local and central ventilation systems serve the same purpose. However, it is important to recognize that installing a central ventilation system involves significant construction work, as it requires the installation of a central system. This means that, after the installation of the central system, additional expenses will be needed for construction work to conceal visible parts of the installation.
The installation of local ventilation systems is simpler. An installer will make a hole through the exterior wall, and the entire local ventilation equipment is fitted into this hole. Electrical wiring needs to be brought to the device for its operation. After the installation, no additional major construction work is required.
To ventilate with multiple local systems or a central system?
For new buildings, the answer is straightforward—central ventilation is recommended. This solution is usually more cost-effective and convenient, as one device and a single control system will handle the ventilation for the entire building. Additionally, installations in new constructions can be concealed along with plumbing, electrical, and sewage systems.
For existing buildings where major renovations to replace existing systems and conceal them (such as suspended ceilings or floors) are not planned in the near future, ventilation with multiple local systems may be more cost-effective.
